MEETING MATERIALS
We want everyone to take a few minutes to fill out the Worksheets associated with the 4 Topical Meetings whether you were able to attend or not! It will certainly help to have a look at the slides or the first half of the recorded Meeting, and you can always email us at [email protected] if you have questions. Worksheets/Survey will be open until December 15.
Meeting #4 really gets in to what this future-planning could do. We are mixed group with a lot of different opinions but whether our core values lean toward increasing density, protecting tree cover, or preserving older buildings, Meeting 4's discussion really gets us thinking about how we may be able to work together to achieve multiple goals as we plan for Candler Park's future.

The Worksheet that accompanies Meeting #2 is designed to get participants thinking about Current Zoning Regulations, if the regulatory approach could/should be changed whether through a local historic district OR through other regulatory methods. Before diving into the Worksheet we highly recommend reviewing the Meeting #2 slides below which include information on our current zoning regulation and how other historic district neighborhoods have approached each topic.

For the Meeting #1 Companion Survey, the brief Developmental History slides below may be particularly helpful thinking about the Historic Period. Note that there was a delay in recording the meeting due to human error - recording starts at 7:11pm, approximately 6 minutes after the meeting was begun.
This short Survey is designed to go with the presentation on Sept 7 and to get participants thinking about where they live and what is on a lot. Answers may guide the committee in defining the potential Candler Park Historic District but this Survey is not designed to determine whether participants want a historic district or not. We hope that you will also think about some of these questions in terms of future planning for Candler Park, whether we become a historic district or not. Email [email protected] if you have questions.
